Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing the purchase orders, receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock levels and giving out the suppliers from the stock
  • Involve in preparing the inventories, maintaining the stock records, using computerized systems for entering the records
  • Make sure to get rid of the surplus or obsolete stock
  • To ensure the correct and timely valuation of the inventory and to be involved in directing and managing procedures related to offloading, packing and unpacking

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Produce and work from picking list, to fulfil, pack and despatch client orders
  • Responsible for making informed decisions in respect to shipping options available
  • Ensure all orders are fulfilled within specified time frame
  • Assist in managing the trucks and drivers
  • Checking for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices
  • Signing the delivery form, once satisfied that the goods are complete moving the goods to the correct area in the warehouse, either manually or using mechanical handling equipment labelling goods
  • Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles, opening packages and remove contents
  • Operating computers to obtain details of location and quantity of items in stock
  • Allocating storage space to goods
  • Relocating and re-stacking goods to make space for a new delivery
